Fluid Narratives #ebrureimagined #teaser
Fluid Narratives is a multimedia project by Eda Er that transforms the traditional Turkish art of Ebru (marbling) into a contemporary medium for sound, performance, and feminist storytelling. Blending ancient techniques with new media tools like Max/MSP and TouchDesigner, it creates immersive sonic-visual experiences that explore identity, memory, and cultural resistance. www.fluidnarratives.com Filmed by: Mariana Marcela Garcia, Brian Wollitz, and Sepe Rafiei Edited by : Eda Er

The Glitch Bloom - Eda Er & Danniel Ribeiro
Glitch Bloom (Eda Er & Danniel Ribeiro) operates in an indefinable musical territory where the lines between composed work, improvisation, and multimedia blur into a distinctive sonic fusion. Their artistic practice combines vocals, electronic elements, electric guitar, and video with transducers, unconventional playing techniques, and sculptural objects, establishing a fluid relationship between planned structure and spontaneous creation. Founded on mutual investigation of sound possibilities, collaborative processes, and multimedia integration, Glitch Bloom embraces unexpected outcomes—where harsh sounds intermingle with melodic elements, acoustic manipulations transform through electronic processing, and sound manifests as both physical and transient. Their performances create immersive environments that explore the convergence of music, physical movement, and visual components to deliver an experience that defies traditional classification.

Created in 2019 as a merger of Wild Rumpus and Composers, Inc., Ninth Planet continues the traditions of both organizations by commissioning new works, offering the Suzanne and Lee Ettelson Composer’s Award instituted by Composers, Inc., and performing existing, innovative pieces that stretch the genre’s limits. Concert programs represent a range of styles, with emphasis on local composers, women and LGBTQA+ composers, and composers of color. Ninth Planet prioritizes close interaction with our guest composers, seeking to invite them into our rehearsal process and the thoughtful presentation of their work in concert. Eda Er: Ethernal wait for no answer (2021)
Eda Er https://www.edaer.me/ Ethernal wait for no answer (2021) for bass flute, baritone saxophone, percussion and piano Written for and premiered in the context of the 5th International ilSUONO Contemporary Music Week 2021 https://www.ilsuonoacademy.com/ Performed by: Ensemble Suono Giallo Andrea Biagini, flute Michele Bianchini, saxophone Gianni Maestrucci, percussion Simone Nocchi, piano https://www.ensemblesuonogiallo.net/ Audio Recorded and Mixed by: David Giacchè Videography and Production: Visualcam, Mauro Magrini and Arianna Fiandrini Program Notes: "When I saw a definition in a dictionary of a made-up word "Ethernal" to express: "Eternal yet ethereal: Hypothetically everlasting it is also fragile, delicate, intangible, beyond grasping, or some unconventional interpretation of eternity." It made me think about how we all have situations to stand by, which almost become unbearably "ethernal." It mirrored to me how fulfilling society's expectations to feel achieved in every aspect of my life kept me feeling obliged. Hence, I'm hoping to express those obligations through the piece by making a driving force between narrativity and physicality.
