An Istanbul-based arts collective founded in 2017, klank.ist aims to push boundaries of disciplines, mediums, physical spaces as well as socially defined identities with their collaborative works intertwining with dance, music, and stage design. The collective’s project klank.ist ensemble of four women music composers/performers focus on freestyle improvisations, body performances, and audio-visual interactions. Their first album, titled V.Dialogues, will be released in the beginning of 2020.

klank.ist ensemble’s performance in the Walk-in Cinema will unveil as a musical improvisation that is both planned/predetermined and spontaneous/unpredictable through open form composition formats. The terms such as preword, kinesics, word, sound, silence, dance, movement, play, and performativity will be re-interpreted in a perceptive way.
